The Demographics of Birding

I'm working on a final for a research class I'm taking this summer, and I came across this very interesting PDF that I thought I'd share. It's a demographic analysis of birders in the United States, and it's very thorough... check it out HERE, or if you prefer, its the first link on the top of this Google search.

This was a very interesting study. Thanks for posting it! To me the most surprising thing was in Texas only 14% of the population ID themselves as birders. And TX has some of the very best birding in the entire country. Isn't that sad?

I can see I am in the minority, even among birders, when it comes to keeping lists and traveling specifically to see birds.
